Why should you book me to capture the precious memories of your life?
We all have a phone full of photos and we all know how to press the button on our phone to take a snap of absolutely every moment in our lives and that is amazing. So it isn’t absolutely necessary to book me to capture those moments, but it still is soooo worth it.
I will capture memories from a different point of view, with everyone in the picture, also mum who doesn’t get to be in the picture much for many reasons (maybe because she is the one behind the camera all the time or she doesn’t feel pretty in those untidy crazy moments of life).
I hear so often “I can’t believe you got that photo of my child. They never smile like that if I try to take the photo.” Let me tell you a secret: Mine don’t do it for me either haha. After all I take photos of about 500 children every year at family sessions, in preschools and at events, I am a pro in capturing kids and I love connecting with everyone of them to not only have a nice smile but to capture their own little personality. This may be my ultimate superpower, but if I am honest, it barely ever works with my own kids.
Photos taken with high end professional equipment with the right light and a beautiful colour grading are just not the same as photos from your phone. Having photos displayed in your home, big or small or in a photo album is how those memories live on and high quality photos just look a thousand times better up on the wall.
Getting in front of someone’s camera that you don’t know can be scary, exhausting (especially if you have to convince half the family that this is an amazing idea) and it totally can be awkward (most people or awkward in front of a camera that’s a fact!), so despite the money that you pay for a session, the total price can be even higher, but I will take you on this journey and I promise it will be fun and it will be soooo worth it. Not only for the photos on your wall and the memories to cherish but also because most of the times after my session the children are smiling and the dad’s tell me that this was actually fun.
All these are reasons why I have a professional photographer take family photos of my own family once a year, for me it’s the best investment ever and I know that the value of those photos will become even more and more over the year to come. Life is busy and it all just flies past so fast, those memories captured will be there forever.

I am Anne
I moved to Australia in the beginning of 2018 with my Aussie husband Jesse and have since become a mum of 2 beautiful boys. I'm German and fell instantly in love with the Barrington Coast and the Australian sunshine.
I've loved taking photos since I was a little girl, playing with my dad's big analogue camera. The passion for storytelling and transporting emotions through pictures brought me to work in the movies in Germany. I worked as an assistant editor for feature films and TV dramas in Hamburg for 6 years before moving to Austrialia, where I was an assistant editor for reality TV shows for a little while in Sydney.
Since becoming a mum I have loved to document and photograph my boys, that have grown way too fast, and it has shown me how precious and important it is to create these memories as time flies by. Capturing an authentic keepsake of all the love and magical moments but also the chaos, surprises and funny things that come with children and their very unique characters.
It's an absolute gift to be the one that captures these moments and turns them into a keepsake that will be cherished forever.
